Story
Jeremy, who is living with Martina’s widow, returns to Saint-Martial for the funeral of his late boss and becomes embroiled in the disappearance of a menacing neighbor and the abbot’s dark intentions.
The film is laced with very mild humor, telling the story of a quiet man who visits a village to attend his mentor’s funeral
“Misericordia” is shot at a leisurely pace, and when filming begins, it’s impossible not to hold back the laughter until it reaches its peak in the final frame.
What I love about Misericordia is the way it suddenly changes its script to make the audience laugh, all in an unflinching style
There he meets his mentor’s wife, his son, and a priest who seem to be saying something different than what is on their minds.
